The Europeans have an intense fascination with our culture and groups of them conduct their own "PowWows" on the week-end where they dress up, sing, dance, etc. and pretend to be Native. The interest in Germany began when Karl May wrote several books (all fiction) about our people having never met a real Native. Although his books put us in a good light, they do not protray the real beliefs/culture. You will found "PowWows" in almost all European countries now ... Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Poland, and yes, even Russia. My Native brothers and sisters and I have spent years trying to educate the Europeans (not with performances, lectures, etc. Just good, sound, free advice) only to find ourselves being attacked by the goons from NAFPS. We stopped answering their intrusive questions because they seem to think a letter from a federally recognized tribe which states someone is 6th generation Creek means PODIA. We are also of the opinion no Native and no Nation needs to answer to NAFPS and we do not need their stamp of approval to be what we are. NAFPS is all about promoting Al Carroll, the phoney Apache. I've done his genealogy and he is, indeed, Mexican/Irish. Trisha Rose Jacobs , the phoney Cherokee, is hiding under the name Moma Porcupine. She, All and Annika are in this for the money. They are extremely vicious and have sent emails to the employer, family members, acquaintances and organizations when doing research on an individual. It is abundantly clear none of them have been raised in a Native community nor have they had much contact with real Natives. Al is even paying for a website on which he slanders and defames a Comanche he has a problem with. How sick is that? They need to be stopped before they hurt themselves. They are all interested in making money and know that the Europeans especially love anything to do with Lakota Indians. Ever since they saw the movie Dances with Wolves, they have been nearly obsessive when it comes to the Lakota. I find it repulsive that this white woman from Sweden is actually sitting in judgment of native people in the US. But Al Carroll - a fraud of course, Tricia Jacobs - who has so many lawsuits filed against her she probably will never return to the US, for her fake and nasty website - Respect in Cherokee, finally took her website down, but left a nasty parting shot when she did. There is a website up about her, by many of the people who filed lawsuits against her - www.triciajacobs.com - these people are sick, vicious and hiding so much of their own fraud, that they go on the attack with others to deflect questions about themselves. If I judge people at all it is by their behaviour. I think some of the postings on here are in defence of that. It is nasty to see one person with a huge following of cyber friends, try and destroy nice people. The reason they give is that non native Americans cannot embrace their traditions; unfortunately they don't see it as a compliment or someone with a genuine interest. I am not native American but on one occasion visited a pow wow in Denmark. I don't know the name of the organisers as it was a long time ago and I have no idea of their nationality. All I know is that it was great fun and educational. Now maybe some would say that it might have been flawed educationally and that the organisers were not qualified to teach. Perhaps, but what harm did it do? I came away feeling very warm towards all humanity and especially N As. It may not have been correct in every aspect but as I am neither N A or about to teach their ways it is of no consequence. Certainly not a reason for the character assassination that would have ensued had Newagefraud been in attendance. It would not have warranted to hatred that is perpetrated so often today. I just wish these people would see the bigger picture and realise all the hate eventually comes back to them I agree that it is wrong to judge people by their colour or race. If I judge people at all it is by their behaviour.

I think some of the postings on here are in defence of that. It is nasty to see one person with a huge following of cyber friends, try and destroy nice people.

The reason they give is that non native Americans cannot embrace their traditions; unfortunately they don’t see it as a compliment or someone with a genuine interest.

I am not native American but on one occasion visited a pow wow in Denmark. I don’t know the name of the organisers as it was a long time ago and I have no idea of their nationality. All I know is that it was great fun and educational.

Now maybe some would say that it might have been flawed educationally and that the organisers were not qualified to teach. Perhaps, but what harm did it do? I came away feeling very warm towards all humanity and especially N As. It may not have been correct in every aspect but as I am neither N A or about to teach their ways it is of no consequence.
